So summer was great, but it’s definitely getting colder now in the evenings. It was great hanging out on the patios in all the various hot spots. Boma had awesome house music on its patio throughout the summer until a bunch of bikers starting to attend, which wasn’t necessarily helping them out any. Boma is really struggling and will need some serious help recouping everything that they invested in that place. It’s amazing how rumors of bankruptcy start spreading and everyone is immediately turned off to a venue. I always thought that Boma had a lot of potential, but their marketing and promo team wasn’t doing a very good job of getting people out there.
The same unfortunate circumstance with Karma. The post-Redzone venue had a lot to live up to and without putting forth enough effort, really went down in flames. Apparently they’ve closed down for “renovation” and are going to open back up with a bang. I really think they need to get their promo act together and get some good people to pack the place with fun and energetic bodies. It might cost them a bit more, but it will pay off big time in the long-run. That place would be packed every weekend if they got their shit together. They have probably one of the best sound systems in the area and it is absolutely beautiful inside.
I miss the days when there was actually a choice of where to go around Columbus. “Hey, what are you up to tonight?” “Oh, just the Arena District, again.” I like the fact that there is an entire row of bars and clubs so it’s easy to go bar hopping. But I absolutely detest that there is pretty much nowhere else to go! I’ll admit that there a few smaller and really happening places to go, but that’s about it.
Anyway, I got a little off topic. It’s party time! I’m really excited for the upcoming seasons. We have some amazing DJs coming into our small little piece of the Midwest. Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, DJ Mirco, Benny Benassi, Colette, and many, many more. Subscribe to the RSS Feed and add the iCal Feed to stay up to date with all these events…
I know what you’re thinking… isn’t it spelled Vegas? Well the fact that I wasn’t born in the States is not the reason why I’m spelling Vegas incorrectly.

Plus, you’re in Vegas! If you’re bored with the music (which is not possible), you can just go explore the amazing city.
Yes, he’s coming back again. Last time apparently he had strep throat and had to cancel the show. Well Christopher Lawrence is coming back and I think he is going to rock it!
This man is absolutely 100% American homegrown TRANCE. I guarantee an amazing time if you like non-stop buildups and riffs. He’ll be promoting his new CD Gatecrasher: “Live in Moscow”, which I would highly recommend.
DJ Irene is wicked cool. I guess that’s what happens when you’re a rock star man trapped inside a woman’s body. Her music is often very edgy and not for the faint of heart.
